I’m reading this book right now and it is great so far.  One of my author friends, Jacquelyn Ayres, gave Olivia Luck’s book In Pursuit 5 stars!  Gotta love when other authors review each other’s books and love them!

Eddie Neff needs space. Not the type that country stars croon about, but physical distance from her emotionally distant father and the tatters of a broken relationship. So when the opportunity to relocate her life and interior design business arises, the answer comes easily.

Adjusting to life with Claire, her gregarious new roommate, is more than simply testing comfort limits. With just one meeting, Eddie finds herself unable to resist the draw of Harris Grant, Claire’s brooding and overprotective older brother.

Harris doesn’t fit her idea of a safe relationship. He pushes Eddie to face her deepest insecurities and fears of abandonment. And Harris holds on to his own painful loss, unable to overcome personal demons.

Eddie and Harris must learn to conquer their internal struggles. But as they navigate their new love, outside forces fight to drive them apart.

Author’s note: In Pursuit is the first book in a two book series. Intended for 18+ readers.

Here’s what Jacquelyn has to say:

5 stars

***I was given an ARC for an honest review***

I absolutely ADORED this book!

This book is about second chances not just at love but at life! Eddie has uprooted herself from everything and everyone she has known to start anew. She winds up in the city of Chicago, with a very sweet… eh, strange … eh,questionable roommate named Claire.

Then there’s Harris. A moment to swoon, please. *swoons* Ok. Harris is not only sexy and attractive, he’s the type of man you are dying to “figure out”

Eddie and Harris’ chemistry is undeniable. However, both of them have a past that hinders their relationship at times. We learn about Eddie’s. I’m dying to learn about Harris’!! There is only enough information to make you hungry for more!

This is Olivia’s debut novel and I have to say, she’s got a knack for pulling the reader in so that you feel you are walking the hallways with the characters. I love when a writer can pull me in like that and I am looking forward to the next installment, as well as all future novels from this very talented author.
